After a lot of trial and error - literally ripping seams apart and starting over again, fitting and re-fitting, patching up a mistake made while patching up another - my costumes have become closer and closer to the aspired originals as the years passed by. Nowadays I'm a confident pattern user and maker, wearing my creations comfortably and proudly.
